González Iñarritu, the Director of Mexico’s national team, has said that the Alan Pulido sex scandal is part of the striker’s private life and should not affect a possible call up to the national team.

Herrera, the national manager, agrees with Gonzalez Iñarritu. He told Record that if they need the striker to play they will not hestitate to call him up as the incident was not football related.
“We are aware of Pulido’s case, I do not care about what a player does inside or outside their home, but what he does on the pitch. What a player does outside the field is his private life,” said Herrera.
Alan Pulido, 24, has been in the media’s eye since the controversy of his contract with Tigres. He considered himself to be a free agent but the club said that they had an extension signed by him until June 2016. After lengthy arguements, Pulido eventually got FIFA’s consent to move to Greece.
