Having retained their title last weekend with victory over Montpellier Herault Sport Club, PSG celebrated their latest victory in a meaningless contest in front of their own fans at the Parc des Princes.

Laurent Blanc’s side saw off Reims after two first-half goals.

Cavani opened the scoring on 30 minutes after finding himself in space following a superb pass from Marco Verratti.

Adrien Rabiot—receiving a rare start—doubled the lead before the break, and while Aissa Mandi halved the deficit on 54 minutes, Cavani confirmed the victory seven minutes before the end.

Substitute Grejohn Kyei scored a late consolation for the Champenoix.

It remains to be seen if Cavani will again be seen at the Parc des Princes.

The Uruguayan forward has reportedly handed in a transfer request at PSG, and has been heavily linked with a summer move to Atletico Madrid.

Juventus are also believed to be keen on the forward, while United are also considering Cavani as a replacement for AS Monaco flop Radamel Falcao.
