Arsenal have made a bid of £18.2 million for AS Monaco star Geoffrey Kondogbia, according to the Metro.
However, there may be some doubt over this as the British paper have based their story on a rumour from Fichajes.net, which isn’t the most reputable source. On the other hand there have been stories linking the Gunners to the midfielder for a while now, and so it wouldn’t be too surprising if they were to make a bid.
Fans of the North London club will know the France international all too well from his brilliant performance at the Emirates for his current owners. The principality based side beat the Premier League outfit 1-3 away from home to all but knock them out of the Champions League at the last 16 stage.
Kondogbia is especially good defensively, helping Monaco to a brilliant record of just 26 conceded goals in 38 Ligue 1 matches this season. He is also able to affect play in the final third, making the France international perfect to play alongside Francis Coquelin.
