Fresh after scoring back-to-back trebles against Espanyol and Getafe respectively in the final two games of the La Liga season, the Real Madrid star was once again in fine form in front of goal.
After falling behind to a fantastic free-kick from Armenia’s Marcos Pizzelli-an effort that Ronaldo himself would have been proud of-he equalised from the penalty spot after Joao Moutinho was brought down in the area.
Ronaldo stepped up and converted the spot-kick with ease as he sent keeper Roman Berezovskiy the wrong way in the 29th minute.
His second was down to sheer determination as he chased down a long ball and caused a mistake in the home side’s defence to poke the ball past Berezovskiy and into the net.
The best goal of the afternoon was saved for the completion of his hat-trick as he found the net with a long-range thunderbolt to score what proved to be the winner for Portugal.
