West Brom want £30 million for Saido Berahino amid interest from Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Newcastle United, and Tottenham, reports the Daily Star.
The 21-year-old scored 15 goals in 41 games last season, although four of those did come from the penalty spot. Even so, the youngster clearly has potential at the highest level, and being English as well fulfils home grown quotas. This has made him want of the most wanted properties in the Premier League.
The striker hasn’t agreed a new contract with the Baggies, but with two years still to go on his current deal the club still has some leeway when it comes to selling him. This price tag may put off many of his suitors, but the well monied sides such as the Citizens, Gunners, and Stamford Bridge outfit could all still afford it. It is another matter whether they will be keen to do so for such a player.
Liverpool were also interested in the forward, but are unlikely to be able to make a move as he is represented by Aidy Ward. This is the same agent that Raheem Sterling uses, and he has got on the wrong side of the Reds hierarchy for trying to force a move for the England international.
