Barcelona star Lionel Messi has called on his club to sign his fellow Argentine Angel Di Maria from Manchester United this summer, it has emerged.

The 28-year-old is a big fan of the former Real Madrid man, who supposedly has a special clause in his contract that would see United pay Real an extra £10m if he does move to their bitter rivals.

While Di Maria’s possible move to Barca would no doubt be controversial, it does look like there is genuine interest there, though other clubs are also keeping an eye on his situation.

According to The Sun, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also all keen on the 27-year-old, who won the Champions League in his final season at the Bernabeu, but who has so far failed to settle in England.
