The news comes a somewhat of a surprise given that Pearson inspired the club to a brilliant run of form towards the end of last season, which saw them beat the odds and survive in the Premier League.
However, that feat has not been enough for him to stay in the role ahead of the new season and the club broke the shock news via their official Twitter account on Tuesday evening.

The Foxes also released a statement via the club’s website to explain the reasons behind Pearson’s sudden departure from the King Power Stadium.
Pearson was thought to have been given his marching orders back in February, but in an astonishing sequence of events Foxes chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was persuaded by his son Aiyawatt to reinstate the 51-year-old [via Mirror Sport].
However, it doesn’t appear lightning will strike twice and Pearson will now be on the lookout for a new job this summer.
