Premier League captain UNFOLLOWS HIS OWN TEAM on Twitter, still follows EPL rivals

In a bizarre social media twist, new Aston Villa captain Micah Richards has unfollowed his new employers on Twitter.

The defender was given the skipper’s captain for a recent pre-season friendly, but oddly followed up this show of faith by Tim Sherwood by unfollowing his new club.

He spent last season on loan with Fiorentina, before being released by City in June 2015.

The defender returned to Villa—his hometown club—on June 17, agreeing a four-year contract with Sherwood’s side.
