Barcelona‘s talented young winger Adama Traore is poised to snub interest from Aston Villa and Stoke City to sign for Barclays Premier League giants Liverpool.
The 19-year-old is the latest prospect that has come through the Catalan giants’ famous La Masia academy and scored his first ever senior goal during the club’s 8-1 thrashing of SD Huesca in the Copa del Rey last December.
However, with the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar, Luis Suarez and youngster Munir El Haddadi ahead of Traore in the pecking order at the Camp Nou currently, he is expected to leave Catalonia this summer in order to continue his progression and he has been linked with a move to England.
According to reports in Spanish media outlet Fichajes [via Metro Sport] the Merseyside outfit are set to beat the Potters and Villa to the signing of the highly-rated winger and the deal could be made official by the end of the week as Barca are powerless to prevent him from leaving if his £4.2million release clause is activated.
