PSG are reportedly keeping a close eye on under-fire Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho with a view to making a possible approach for the Portuguese manager next summer according to the Daily Star.

Mourinho has come under a raft of criticism in recent days following his touchline spat with club doctor Eva Carniero and the Chelsea manager has also publicly spoken of his disappointment at his side’s lack of transfer activity over the summer.

Jose Mourinho has a habit of lasting a few seasons at a club before he leaves for pastures new and PSG may elect to pursue the 52-year-old if current manager Laurent Blanc can not replicate domestic success in the Champions League.

Blanc has helped PSG to back to back Ligue 1 titles in his two seasons in the French capital and did take the club to the Champions League quarter-finals in 2014/15 but this hasn’t lessened talk of Mourinho being brought in to take the helm at the big-spending side.
