Barcelona will hand forward Neymar a contract worth an astonishing £500k a week in order to see off Manchester United interest in the Brazilian, according to The Sun via the Daily Telegraph.
23-year-old Nou Camp star Neymar enjoyed an average first campaign at Barcelona, following his big-money move to the Catalan giants from Sao Paulo-based side Santos, but kicked on in 2014/15 when he formed part of an all-conquering attacking trio alongside fellow South Americans Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
Last term, Neymar scored 39 goals in all competitions and played a key role in helping boss Luis Enrique to secure a Liga BBVA, Copa del Rey and Champions League treble in his first season in charge of Barcelona.
Clearly, Enrique would be loath to lose Neymar, and as such a move to offer the forward improved terms is unsurprising but the sums bandied about by this source are simply staggering.

The Sun, via the Daily Telegraph, report that Barcelona will hand Neymar a new six-year-deal worth £150m which would mean the attacker would earn just slightly less than team-mate Lionel Messi.
Louis van Gaal would be hard pressed to secure a deal to bring in Neymar, not least as there seems little reason why the talented goal-machine would consider leaving a Barcelona side that is currently defeating all before them.
Without the Brazilian, however, the Red Devils risk being a little short up front, where off-colour Wayne Rooney is joined by inexperienced pair Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial.
