Manchester United star attracts interest of OVER 20 clubs

Manchester United star James Wilson has attracted the interest of over 20 clubs, reports the Daily Express.

The 19-year-old has become surplus to requirements at Old Trafford after the arrival of Anthony Martial from AS Monaco. Derby County are thought to now be leading the race to loan the striker, but do face competition from other sides in the Championship. Top flight teams are now unable to sign any players, even on loan.

The England Under 21s international scored once in 13 Premier League games last season, although 11 of those appearances came from the substitutes’ bench. He is yet to play this time round, with captain Wayne Rooney starting up front, and Javier Hernandez backing him up before his move to Bayer Leverkusen.

Even though the Mexico international has now departed, Wilson is still behind new signing Martial in the pecking order. With the youngster needing game time to develop it may be best that he leave the club temporarily. However, United may have missed a trick by not sending him to a Premier League side when they still could.
