(Video) Twitter EXPLODES as Lewandowski SAVES Bayern Munich with FIVE goals in NINE minutes

Bayern Munich appeared to be heading for a rare defeat in the Bundesliga before Robert Lewandowski stepped up to complete a remarkable transformation.

The Polish forward was introduced as a half-time substitute, and went on to bag a stunning five goals in nine minutes to help Bayern turn a 1-0 deficit into a 5-1 triumph.

Bayern fell behind to an effort from Daniel Caligiuri, prompting Pep Guardiola into a half-time switch, replacing Javi Martinez with Lewandowski.

The Pole bagged his first goal five minutes later, levelling the match on 51 minutes. His second followed one minute later, before completing his hat-trick on 55 minutes.

Two further goals followed as Lewandowski—who moved to the Allianz Arena from Borussia Dortmund in 2014—demonstrated his elite quality.

Naturally, Twitter went mad as news of the Pole’s efforts filtered in…here are some of our favourite reactions:
