AMR: Willian
Arguably the Chelsea player who looked most likely to make things happen; a fine blend of endeavour and talent. Dangerous from set pieces. 6.5/10.
AML: Eden Hazard
It’s unfortunate that Hazard was the main culprit for Chelsea’s elimination as the Belgian was one of the side’s better performers on the day. He troubled Stoke with his movement and agility, and tested Jack Butland with a few efforts. 6/10.
AMC: Oscar
Another player whose place at Chelsea must be coming under increasing pressure, worked hard but lacked the guile and creativity that marked his early showings in a Blues shirt. 5.5/10.
FC: Diego Costa
Can hardly be blamed for the injury that ended his evening early, but Costa was a muted presence before being withdrawn. 6/10.
