Which two Premier League players are trying to COAX Messi to England? Chelsea, Man City, Manchester United all keen

According to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, Premier League pair Sergio Aguero and Cesc Fabregas have tried to tempt Lionel Messi to consider a move to England.

Messi has been rumoured to be considering a future away from Barcelona in recent weeks, and while he may have insisted in a recent interview that that he only living in the present, the rumours persist.

“Do I see myself playing in another league? I don’t want to look so far ahead.” Messi said, speaking to Balague in a recent interview on Yahoo Sport. “I live in the moment, and right now I’m with Barcelona in La Liga where I made my life and where I am very well.”

However, despite these comments, the pundit has admitted that Messi has never looked so close to the Barcelona exit door.

“Messi was never before this close to leaving the club, but this doesn’t necessarily mean that he’ll be going,” the journalist began. “Many options are foreseeable, including that he stays at Barcelona of course.”

Balague went on to reveal that one of Messi’s international colleagues and one of his former teammates—Sergio Aguero of Manchester City and Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas—have both attempted to convince Messi of the joys of playing in England.

“He has often heard Sergio Aguero and Cesc Fabregas say that the Premier League is great, for many reasons,” Balague continued. “I’m sure that’s made him think about eventually opening the door to a departure.”

While both Aguero and Fabregas would surely love to have Messi on their side in the EPL, both would likely hate to see the world’s greatest player sign for one of their title rivals!

The prospect of Messi lining up at Chelsea—who also boast Pedro, another of his former Barcelona companions—is intriguing, the thought of the forward lining up alongside Aguero at the Etihad Stadium is truly a mesmerising prospect.
