Chelsea midfield star sets sights on winning Ballon d’Or

Chelsea midfielder Willian has confessed that he is hoping to lift this year’s Ballon d’Or title following his good personal form for the club, the Metro reports.

The Brazilian winger, who had initially struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge, has been on fire so far this term, largely thanks to his performances in front of goal.

And this year he has laid out his aspirations of winning football’s top personal prize – the Ballon d’Or.

“It’s my dream,” he told Copa 90.

“I want to become the Player of the Year, to win the World Cup and be considered as a legend at Chelsea.”

The 27-year-old will face some serious competition for the prize, especially if The Blues continue to struggle for form in the league.

Willian arrived at Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013 for a fee of around £30million.
