Luis Suarez opened the scoring after just 15 minutes on Tuesday as Barcelona demonstrated their class against AS Roma in the Champions League. Three minutes later they were two goals to the good, as Lionel Messi added a second after superb work between Barca’s delicious attacking trident.
Check out our Barcelona Roma Highlights below:
Barcelona headed into this match high on confidence following the weekend’s 4-0 El Clasico demolition of Real Madrid in La Liga action.
Their complete evisceration of their fierce domestic rivals was a sign of the club’s fluidity and cohesion under Luis Enrique at the moment.
They are reigning European and Spanish champions, and on the evidence of that match and Tuesday evening’s showing against Roma, it will take something special indeed for them not to retain both titles!
They opened the scoring after 15 minutes at the Camp Nou.
Having already had the ball in the back of the net only to be ruled offside, Barca struck when Dani Alves played in Luis Suarez who made no mistake past the hapless Wojciech Szczesny.
It was 2-0 three minutes later as Roma were again torn apart.
Neymar fed Suarez who in turn played in Messi. The Argentine superstar held off the challenging defender to chip over the advancing Szczesny.
Before the break, Suarez made it 3-0 with this stonking 15-yard volley. How does this Barca side rank among the greatest teams of all time?
