(Video) Barcelona’s Lionel Messi scores goal v Leverkusen after delicious Rakitic assist

Posted by

The likes of Luis Suarez, Andres Iniesta, Neymar and Sergio Busquets all missed out for Barcelona tonight, with Luis Enrique choosing to rest the majority of his best players.

Lionel Messi and Ivan Rakitic started though, and the Croatian played the God-like Argentine through on goal to open the scoring in tonight’s Champions League fixture versus Bayer Leverkusen.

Rakitic totally split a stranded German defence, and Messi did what he does better than anyone else in world football: round the goalkeeper and score.

He’s obviously feels like he has some some making up to do, after his great nemesis Cristiano Ronaldo scored four for Real Madrid last night, finishing the Group Stages with a mind-boggling 11!
