On loan Liverpool striker Lazar Markovic looks to be making the most of his time away from Anfield, bagging a goal for current club Fenerbahce during their Europa League clash with Celtic. Check out the goal courtesy of our friends at Empire of the Kop…

A Liverpool player did score during the first-half of the 6pm Europa League fixtures tonight, but it was Lazar Markovic doing it for Fenerbahce!

The young Serbian is spending the season on loan at the Turkish side, and was given a start at home to Celtic tonight following an injury lay-off.

Promisingly, Markovic showed exceptional pace on the right, before tricking the keeper and sliding the ball in coolly.

Many Reds would like the talented winger, who cost us a whopping £20m in 2014, to return to work under Jurgen Klopp – but the terms of his agreement means he’ll remain in Turkey this term unless they cancel the deal.

At least he’s getting minutes and developing. Long may it continue.
