It’s no big secret that Chelsea are looking for replacements or subs for some of their struggling stars like Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and Oscar in the coming months. One of the club’s top targets is Shakhtar Donetsk winger Alex Teixeira, but the price tag on the Brazilian scoring machine may be a little too steep for the Blues.
According to the Metro, the Ukranian giants have put a rather expensive price tag of £30 million on Teixeira ahead of the upcoming transfer window. The Brazilian star has been linked to Chelsea in the past but would be making his debut in a top five European league.
Teixeira has been dominant in the Ukranian Premier League, scoring 22 goals in 15 league matches, plus another three in six matches in the Champions League.
The trio of Hazard, Costa and Oscar have scored just seven goals through the first half of the 2015-16 season – the same trio that finished last season with a whopping 40 goals and had 20 assists.
