Manchester United are said to be keeping close tabs on Lokomotiv Moscow striker Oumar Niasse and could look to pinch him from under the nose of Chelsea, who have also been scouting the player, according to The Guardian.

The Senegalese international has been in fine form for the Russian giants so far this term, bagging seven goals in 11 league appearances to fire the side up to third in the table.

And his form has not gone unnoticed by Premier League sides, as United, Chelsea and Tottenham are all said to be scouting him ahead of a potential move.

United are desperate to add more firepower to their squad in the new year, and may have the upper hand in any possible dealings as he not only has his heart set on a move to England, but his wife is currently in Manchester.

The 25-year-old was recently voted as the Russian league’s Player of the Year for 2015.
