David de Gea’s new Facebook picture sparks panic amongst Man United fans

Who would have thought that something as simple as changing a Facebook profile picture could cause such a storm, but that’s exactly what David de Gea has done amongst Manchester United fans thanks to a cool piece of artwork, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Fans were left speculating over the 25-year-old’s future when he posted an illustrated picture of himself without the club’s badge on his kit.

The Spaniard was the subject of some intense transfer speculation over the summer, but shocked everybody when he eventually put pen-to-paper on a new contract, thus turning his back on a switch to Real Madrid.

However, he has sparked debate over his future once again by posting the picture, leading fans to believe he is hinting that his long term aspirations lie away from Old Trafford.

The conspiracy theorists are now in full effect as they swarm social media channels to discuss what the “cryptic” image could mean…
