French side confirm they’re keen on €12m Chelsea attacker & Galatasaray target

Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille have confirmed they’re keen on signing Chelsea striker Loic Remy, but have admitted that it will be tough to complete a deal for the frontman.

There has been no shortage of interest in the attacker during the transfer window, but while it would surprise few if Remy were to seal an exit from Stamford Bridge, Lille are not holding out much hope for his signature.

“This is a very complicated issue, you know you have little chance [of signing him],” Les Dogues coach Frederic Antonetti began, as per Goal.

“We have already worked together, so there’s no need to seduce him,” continued the coach, who oversaw Remy’s progress during his time at OGC Nice earlier in his career.

“Is he the ideal striker?” Antonetti questioned, imaging a reunion with the French forward. “He certainly has the speed!”

Lille face some considerable competition in their hopes of signing Remy.

According to AMK, Turkish giants Galatasaray are keen on the forward, and have reportedly sent an envoy to London in order to discuss the possibility of signing both the French attacker and his teammate Branislav Ivanovic.

The Turkish source have reported that the Stamford Bridge heavyweights are looking for a €12 million fee to secure the international’s signature.

Another option for the forward could be AS Monaco, with L’Equipe [via Le Figaro] reporting earlier this week that the Club of the Principality were eyeing a move for the attacker. Further interest comes in the form of Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace, according to the Daily Mail.
