According to reports, Arsenal have opened contract talks with superstar forward Alexis Sanchez as they look to tie the attacker down to a new deal.

The Chilean star moved to the Emirates Stadium from Barcelona in a £32 million deal in 2014, and has been a major success in north London.

The attacker may have had his injury concerns—not least when he missed two months of the season recently following a hamstring problem—but he remains one of Arsene Wenger’s key names and looks like one of the men most likely to end the Emirates Stadium heavyweights’ wait for a league title.

According to Football Insider [as per the Express], the Gunners are planning to tie the South American attacker to a new deal and are planning to improve his current £130,000-per-week earnings.

The report states that the Gunners have offered the player a five-and-a-half year deal, which would be worth a remarkable £51.5 million for the attacking star.
