Paris Saint-Germain‘s players gave forward Ezequiel Lavezzi an amazing send off ahead of their Ligue 1 bout against Stade de Reims on Saturday.
PSG devastated their opponents 4-1 to extend their winning streak in the French top flight. After 27 matches, Laurent Blanc’s side are yet to lose, winning 23 games, and have amassed 73 points—24 more than second-place AS Monaco.
However, they will be without Lavezzi for the run in, with the Argentine striker agreeing to move to Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune for an astonishing £400,000-per-week [via the Mirror].
PSG pocketed only £3.5 million for the versatile attacker, who had been tipped to move to the Premier League in recent transfer windows, with the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal all keen on his signature.
Lavezzi may have become a peripheral figure since the arrival of compatriot Angel Di Maria, but he has enjoyed some major success at PSG, winning three Ligue 1 titles, the Coupe de France, two French League Cups and the Trophee des champions on two occasions.
He will clearly be missed, and received an awesome send off by his teammates ahead of the Reims bout.
