West Ham United playmaker Dimitri Payet stepped up and delivered yet again for his side as they took a 1-0 lead over Manchester United.
The two sides had cancelled each other for the most part, despite the visitors having the best two chances of the opening half with Andy Carroll going close.
After both had penalty shouts turned down, Payet ensured that there was no controversy surrounding the first goal of the game, as he curled a stunning effort beyond David De Gea as the ball smacked the inside of the post before nestling into the back of the net.
With Watford, Crystal Palace and Everton all booking their spots in the semi-finals, it remains to be seen whether or not West Ham go on to join them with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea already being knocked out this weekend.
United struggled to create clear goalscoring opportunities in the first half, and it will certainly be a real test of their resolve in the closing 20 minutes to find out whether or not they can provide an important response to get back into the game.
