Barcelona reach agreement with Brazilian international at PSG; €45m bid tabled

According to reports, Barcelona have agreed a deal with Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos ahead of a potential summer transfer.

Goal have reported that the Catalan giants have agreed terms with the Brazil international on an annual salary of approximately €4.5 million, and on top of that, the 21-year-old is in line to receive a €3 million signing on fee.

While Marquinhos himself is understood to have agreed terms with the club about a switch, negotiations are on going between both clubs, with a transfer fee yet to be agreed.

Goal [as above] report that Barcelona have made an offer of €45 million for the defender, and while PSG are yet to accept the offer, the Nou Camp giants are understood to be willing to push up to €50 million as they look to sign the young defender.

Marquinhos has featured 23 times for the Parisians in their ongoing title-winning campaign, but despite his undisputed talent, the youngster has failed to truly establish himself.

He has struggled to unsettle the starting centre-back pairing of David Luiz and Thiago Silva, and while he earned some gametime at right-back during Serge Aurier’s suspension, the Ivorian wideman returned to the starting XI for the Champions League draw with Manchester City.
