Tottenham, Chelsea & Newcastle face ambitious new competition for forgotten bad boy hitman

According to reports, Crystal Palace have become the latest side to join the hunt for West Bromwich Albion hitman Saido Berahino.

The Baggies frontman has been one of the key subplots of the last two transfer windows, but despite being heavily linked with a move away from the Hawthorns, he remains in the Black Country, with the club yet to have agreed a deal with any prospective suitors.

London giants Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are two clubs to have been linked with the troubled attacker, with the former understood to have come close to signing the Burundi-born hitman on several occasions.

Similarly, Newcastle United have been linked with the Baggies attacker, although should the Magpies drop down into the Championship at the season’s end, they would surely drop out of the running for the 22-year-old.
