One of Liverpool’s more popular contributing players could be leaving this summer if Jurgen Klopp is inclined to move him. Midfielder Joe Allen, whose signature facial hair earned him iconic status at Anfield, has been targeted by a rival Premier League club and could be moved for the right price.
According to the Daily Star, Liverpool have received significant interest from Swansea City for Joe Allen and are willing to let him go for a minimum fee of £10 million. Per the source, Swansea are considering using some of the money from their recent sale of striker Eder to help fund the move.
Allen got his Premier League start with Swansea back when they were in League One and jockeying for promotion to the Championship. He played 127 games for the Swans and helped them earn Premier League promotion in 2011 before making a £15 million move to Liverpool in 2012.
This past year Allen had one of his most productive campaigns with the Reds, scoring three goals in all competitions as well as two assists while appearing in 34 games for the club.
