Unfortunate Arsenal & Tottenham stars casualties of Wales heroics at Euro 2016

It has been a monumental night for Welsh football.

Their 3-1 victory over Belgium, who are ranked second in the world, has sent them into the semi-finals of Euro 2016. Chris Coleman and his players continue to defy expectations.

Ashley Williams, Hal Robson-Kanu and Sam Vokes scored the goals to secure a memorable win which will be celebrated in Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Llaneli, Wrexham and Bangor tonight!

But those toasting Wales’s triumph may want to spare a thought for Aaron Ramsey and Ben Davies, who will both miss the semi-final encounter with Portugal through suspension.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Davies picked up a second yellow card of the tournament as early as the fifth minute, while Arsenal midfielder Ramsey was cautioned for handball in the second half.

Both will be badly missed against Cristiano Ronaldo & co, especially Ramsey who has been absolutely outstanding for the Red Dragons – probably one of the players of the tournament.

We also reckon it is harsh for a player to be banned for two yellows in five games. Here is hoping the Welsh pull off another upset so that Davies and Ramsey can return to help them lift the trophy!
