£10m talks underway over Championship topscorer as Man United and Barca compete with Euro elite to sign wonderkid

With four goals in five games this season, 19-year-old Nottingham Forest midfielder Oliver Burke is tied with Dwight Gayle and Grant Ward at the top of the Championship scoring charts.

The Scottish teen’s fine form has not gone unnoticed and he is reportedly attracting the attention of some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

According to The Sun, talks with Bayern Munich over a potential £10m deal have already begun, while Barcelona are also interested and have sent scouts to Forest.

The Sun claim that Manchester United are another admirer and that Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is prepared to sign Burke and then loan him back to Forest.

Burke made his Forest debut in a League Cup defeat to Tottenham back in September 2014, but his real breakthrough campaign was the 2015-16 season, which saw him feature in 18 Championship games.

So far this season Burke has played in all five of Forest’s league matches, starting four of them.

He made his senior Scotland debut earlier this year in a 1-0 win over Denmark, before turning out again in a single-goal defeat to Italy.
