Chelsea now have a staggering 38 players out on loan: See the full list of Blues players shipped out

It was a busy end to the summer transfer window for Chelsea, but although the Premier League giants made two key signings, they’ve also sent a number of players out on loan.

Antonio Conte brought in four marquee new players in total, with Michy Batshuayi, N’Golo Kante, Marcos Alonso and David Luiz now forming an integral part of his plans for this season.

Having started his tenure with three wins in as many Premier League games, the Italian tactician will be hopeful that they have enough in place to make a sustained push for silverware this season.

However, 38 players still on the club’s books won’t be helping them achieve those objectives, as they’ve been sent out on loan in a combination of short-term and long-term deals with some dating back to previous summers.

This strategy of stockpiling talent will split opinion, as some will argue that it’s good for their development to play elsewhere and earn a spot in the Chelsea squad in the years ahead, while others will say it’s simply unfair for the Blues to be holding on to so many players without them featuring for the club.

It’s clear that Chelsea believe that it’s the best policy for them and time will tell as to whether or not these individuals eventually feature at Stamford Bridge. Here are the 38 players currently out on loan:
