Wales defeated Moldova 4-0 in their first 2018 World Cup qualification match with star forward Gareth Bale scoring a brace and providing an assist.
Bale setup Vokes with the opening goal and scored the third goal in what was arguably the pick of the bench.
The Real Madrid star punished Moldova who gifted Bale the ball after a sloppy back pass.
The 27-year-old burst into the Moldova penalty area before finding the back of the net with an exquisite finish.
Considering Bale still has years ahead of him unless he goes on a lengthy scoring drought it is difficult seeing him not breaking Rush’s record.
