It’s fair to say that Jamie Carragher isn’t Mario Balotelli’s biggest fan as the pair have engaged in an exchange of words on Twitter over the past week.
The former Liverpool defender was never convinced by the Italian forward’s ability, especially after failing to deliver at Anfield in what was a miserable spell for the former AC Milan and Inter star.
After recently questioning his ability to be a major success with the Ligue 1 outfit, Nice have responded by inviting the Reds legend to purchase a Balotelli jersey on their site, as seen below on Twitter.
It remains to be seen if Carragher splashes out on a customised shirt to back his favourite footballer’s journey in French football, but it’s more than likely going to lead to further banter between the pair, and now the club, in the coming weeks.
Balotelli awarded a ‘Best Hater’ trophy to the Sky Sports pundit in a tweet last week, but time will tell if he converts him into a fan.
