Saturday night’s game between Liverpool and Leicester City will be the first match in front of a new-look Anfield following the completion of work to extend the stadium’s main stand.
Club legend Jamie Carragher will be sat in that main stand come Saturday evening, but he’s already been to the ground to check out his seat.
And, like the kind bloke he is, he decided to share that view with everyone on Instagram.
Anfield’s capacity has been increase by 8,500 following the expansion of the main stand.
The famous arena can now hold 54,094 people.
The response to Carra’s post on Insta was generally one of excitement.
@summitgrg88 said: “Wow! Looks great!”, while @malachy.mcmahon added: “Can’t wait to sit in my new seat”.
@k17tenYay was also pumped up, writing: “can’t wait for first home match – will be there in the kop!”
