(Video) Santi Cazorla labels Arsenal teammate ‘one of best in world’ and talks penalties after Southampton win

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has praised Laurent Koscielny after his performance in their side’s 2-1 win over Southampton on Saturday.

The French international was on the scoresheet to give the Gunners the lead, but it required a last-gasp penalty from Cazorla to seal all three points.

Nevertheless, the midfield ace was delighted with the victory and taking all three points against the Saints, but was full of praise for Koscielny.

The commanding centre-half has been an almost ever-present in the Arsenal backline for the past six seasons now, and while he showed his ability in front of goal too, it was his all-round display that had his teammate lavishing praise on him.

As for Cazorla, he joked that he might perhaps have to change where he places his penalties in future, having gone down the middle against Southampton as he kept his nerve and found the back of the net.

Arsenal picked up from where they left off prior to the international break and now sit in sixth place in the Premier League table, with Arsene Wenger hoping that his side can put the opening-weekend defeat to Liverpool firmly behind them and put together a strong run of results.

Focus switches to the Champions League on Tuesday when they face Paris Saint-Germain, and that will be equally as important in their bid to build some momentum.
