West Ham United have had their crowd troubles already this season, and it continued on Saturday before and after their encounter with Middlesbrough at the London Stadium.
As seen in the videos and image below, there were various incidents at the ground on Saturday with one fan even spotted wielding what looks to be a small knife.
The Guardian report that three fans were arrested by police, while several others were involved in unsavoury scenes that continue to concern the club and the league as a whole.
As noted in the report above, it serves a reminder to the ugly scenes during West Ham’s 4-2 defeat to Watford with the club’s supporters clashing with one another inside the ground, while there have been other instances where they have clashed with rival fans too.
It’s a worrying trend of events for the Hammers, and unless they take measures to get things in order and take action against a minority of supporters causing trouble, they may well end up risking facing disciplinary action for an inability to provide a safe and secure environment on match days.
@DomShawGazette shocking policing a stewarding! Took police 10 mins to arrive! Young kids and OAP/disabled supporters caught up in it 🙁 pic.twitter.com/KFuob4zCII
