Manchester City suffered an injury blow to Bacary Sagna over the international break. The French international has been ruled out for three weeks according to the official club website.

Per the source, Sagna will be out until November due to a hamstring pull during the game against Bulgaria.

France beat Bulgaria 3-1 and then went onto defeat the Netherlands 1-0 over the international break to move into second place in the World Cup 2018 qualification Group A behind Sweden on goal difference.

City did however, have some good news as fears that Sergio Aguero picked up a calf injury on international duty with Argentina were put to rest after the star forward revealed that he is not out sidelined and that he has returned to light training.

Spanish international stars David Silva and Nolito both returned from their World Cup qualifiers unscathed and are match fit.

City do still have several players on international duty including Fernandinho for Brazil and Ilkay Gundogan for Germany.
