Kouyate questions West Ham boss Slaven Bilic’s ability to motivate team

West Ham were expected to give the leagues big boys a run for their money this season after coming off the back of a brilliant campaign and moving into the London stadium.

Things have not exactly gone to plan at the East London based outfit and they are currently in the midst of a relegation battle.

It is still early days and we are just seven games into the season however, Hammers boss Slaven Bilic will have to start improving results if he wants to keep hold of his job.

Bilic will be desperate for his side to give 100 percent effort in the London derby against Crystal Palace so he will probably not be best pleased with recent comments made by star midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate.

The 24-year-old appeared to question Bilic’s ability to motivate the team while on international duty with Senegal.

“It (Senegal boss Aliou Cisse’s relationship) is close to the players,” Kouyate was quoted as saying by HITC [via EnQuete].

“I’ll tell you a secret: as club (West Ham) it will not, I had a discussion two hours of time with him on this. If you see today Kouyate from the national team and the club, you know it’s not the same. He found the right words to really motivate and boost us.”

Kouyate is match fit after returning from international duty but it remains to be seen if Bilic will use him against Palace following his latest outburst.
