Romania’s The World Cup qualification clash against Poland was suspended on Friday after a flare thrown from the stand landed next to Bayer Leverkusen star striker Robert Lewandowski.
The referee postponed the game for ten minutes as the Polish striker received medical attention.
However, the prolific striker wasn’t badly hurt and returned to action shortly after. Lewandowski went on to extract his revenge by scoring two goals in the final ten minutes of the game to secure a 3-0 win for the visitors.
