Real Madrid beat Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon 2-1 away from home to book a place in the next round of the Champions League.
Bale started for Real before being substituted off on 58 minutes for Asensio. The La Liga giants were leading 1-0 when Bale was taken off and Sporting went down to 10 men just a few minutes later.
Sporting did however, manage to equalise late on only for Benzema to score the winner on 87 minutes.
Bale shared a picture from the game following the victory and revealed that it ‘felt good’ to book a place in the next round.
