Dull Man United urged to go after Premier League’s flairiest player by club legend

Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel has urged his former side to break out of their slump by signing a player to bring a new wave of flair and skill to Old Trafford.

The Dane was quoted in the Sun as suggesting a swoop for Dimitri Payet, the West Ham attacking midfielder currently being dragged down by his incompetent teammates.

Despite his surrounding cast, Payet has reminded us all of what he’s still capable of doing by scoring perhaps the goal of the season, and collecting the most impressive assist of this term too.

Like many of us, Schmeichel wants to see what the Frenchman could do at a top club with a manager like Jose Mourinho building the team around him.

With West Ham looking prime candidates for relegation, they’re certainly not going to let go of their prize asset easily. Payet could be the difference between survival and relegation for the Hammers, so the Red Devils may be forced to bide their time until the summer, when they might be able to pick up a relegated Payet on the cheap.
