Liverpool host West Ham this evening in their bid to keep pace with Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table.
After Chelsea beat West Brom by a goal to nil earlier today, Jurgen Klopp’s side will be keen to close the seven point deficit. They will have to do it without talisman Philippe Coutinho, however, as he remains sidelined with an ankle injury.
The Reds will be looking to bounce back from their capitulation against Bournemouth and subsequent 4-3 defeat. Today provides the perfect opportunity to do that, as West Ham are in the bottom three. The Hammers have won just two of their last ten Premier League games and will still be looking their wounds after being annihilated 5-1 by Arsenal last weekend.
Emre Can is the only other notable absentee from the Liverpool squad, he along with Coutinho, is struggling with an injury. Slaven Bilic has made four changes for today’s game as Cresswell, Nordtveit, Ayew and Antonio come in for Masuaku, Collins, Fernandes and Fletcher.
