PSG are considering replacing manager Unai Emery with former Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal, according to TF1.
TF1 believe that the Ligue 1 giants are already considering Emery’s future, even though he was only appointed in the summer, replacing the outgoing Laurent Blanc.
PSG find themselves in 3rd place in Ligue 1, trailing Mario Balotelli’s Nice by seven points. They have a real fight on their hands to retain their title this campaign, and if TF1 are to be believed, Emery faces a fight to keep his job.
Step forward Louis Van Gaal. As per TF1, the former United manager is on PSG’s shortlist to replace Emery should they decide to pull the plug on the Spaniard.
The style of play Van Gaal instilled at Old Trafford was by no means easy on the eye, but he has as much managerial pedigree as anyone else in his profession. Having managed Ajax, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Man United – he could be set to add another European heavyweight to his C.V.
