Chelsea and Manchester City are interested in signing former Stoke midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, according to Calciomercato.
N’Zonzi is already well accustomed to life in the Premier League, having made a combined 195 appearances across two respective spells with Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City. During that period he found the back of the net on 11 occasions, and emerged as one of the most esteemed defensive midfielders in the country. His move to La Liga giants Sevilla in 2015 was testament to that.
Calciomercato believe that he could be set to return to these shores, with both Chelsea and Manchester said to be interested in securing his services ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
The Italian website report that Juventus are also interested in signing the 28-year-old, but are not believed to be willing to meet his £25.5 million release clause. That will be no obstacle for Chelsea or Man City, who have repeatedly demonstrated their astronomical spending power in recent windows.
