Liverpool handed major boost in their pursuit of talented contract-rebel as German giants put him up for sale

Borussia Monchengladbach are prepared to listen to offers for Liverpool target Mahmoud Dahoud, according to Calciomercato.

Dahoud has established himself as a key member of Gladbach’s squad since breaking through in the 2014/15 campaign. He has made 63 appearances for the Bundesliga side, finding the back of the net on six occasions.

His good form appears to have caught the eye of Jurgen Klopp. As per Calciomercato, Liverpool, along with Juventus and AC Milan, are interested in securing the German’s services.

They will be encouraged by Calciomercato’s report that Gladbach are prepared to listen to offers for the 21-year-old. The Italian site believe that Dahoud has a clause in his contract that will allow him to leave for £8.53 million in the summer, unless he extends his current deal.

However, they believe that he has no intention of doing so, and Gladbach may subsequently look to sell him this month to avoid losing him on the cheap. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will make their move this month.
