Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho will never be able to keep all of the club’s supporters happy with his choices, but he’s caused a stir on Saturday.
The Red Devils face a crucial clash with Tottenham at Old Trafford, and having collected just one point in their last two league outings, they know the importance of putting on a performance and getting a result this weekend.
Despite scoring twice in the League Cup win over Swansea City in midweek, Jesse Lingard can’t keep his place in the line-up as he drops back to the bench.
In turn, that has sparked a reaction from many Man Utd fans who are disappointed that he’s not involved from the start, although as expected there are others who don’t share that concern as they seem pretty happy with the choices made by Mourinho on this occasion.

Meanwhile, Anthony Martial dropping back to the bench has also caused a reaction, as the French international remains as popular as ever with supporters wanting him to get the nod in the starting line-up.
The 21-year-old has scored five goals and provided six assists in 13 appearances in all competitions so far this season, although he disappointed last time out and will now have to be content with making an impact off the bench.
One man that United fans are absolutely delighted to see back from injury though is Eric Bailly, as he takes his place alongside Phil Jones and Chris Smalling in the backline.
Bailly has missed the last five games after suffering a knock earlier this month, and his return will be a huge boost for United to add defensive solidity to the team.
