Arsenal are reportedly set to go back in for England and Manchester City star Raheem Sterling in January as a response to Man City’s interest in current Gunners star Alexis Sanchez.
This is according to the Daily Mail, who say that Arsene Wenger’s side are eager to bring up the idea of a swap deal between Sterling and Sanchez in January, after failing with a move for the player in the summer.
The news outlet are also saying that the Gunners are to want the former Liverpool wide-man as part of any deal for the Chilean international.
Since his move from Merseyside to Manchester in 2015, Sterling has been impressive for Pep Guardiola’s side.
In 109 games for the Citizens, the player has managed to contribute 31 goals and 34 assists, with the majority of these coming in the Premier League.
For Liverpool, Sterling did well in spite of his young age. In 129 games for the Reds, the former QPR winger managed to scored 23 and assist 25.
For England, Sterling is yet to make his mark. In 35 games for the Three Lions, the player has only managed to score a measly two goals, something that we’re sure the player isn’t happy with.
