Chelsea injury news: Double blow for Conte, trio in race to be fit for Swansea clash

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will be hoping for maximum points in the midweek round of fixtures as his side host Swansea City at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

The Blues are on a decent run having gone four games unbeaten in all competitions, picking up a point at Anfield last time out over the weekend.

That in turn kept them in third place, still 11 points adrift of leaders Man City, as Conte will undoubtedly still be hopeful that his men can wipe out the deficit and give a good account of themselves in their bid to retain their Premier League crown.

However, the Italian tactician will have to mastermind their bid to maintain their current form without the services of David Luiz, while youngster Charly Musonda will also be unavailable, as per freelance injury analyst Ben Dinnery in the tweets blow.

Further, the game could come too soon for Michy Batshuayi and Kenedy who are ‘trying to come back to 100 percent’, as per Conte in his press conference, but ultimately it sounds as though they’ll struggle to feature prominently and will have to be eased back into action.

Meanwhile, it was also added by the Chelsea boss that Victor Moses could be passed fit after overcoming a hamstring problem, and that will be a major boost for the Blues given how consistent and crucial he has been dating back to last season.

In turn, it remains to be seen what starting line-up Conte puts out, but even with the injuries, he’ll surely be confident that he has the quality in the team to secure all three points on Wednesday night.
