Jorge Mendes is reportedly preparing to get his client Goncalo Guedes a £44million transfer to a bigger club this summer, with Manchester United and Real Madrid interested.
The well-connected agent represents some of the biggest names in the game, and has some high-profile clients at United, such as manager Jose Mourinho and goalkeeper David de Gea.
According to Don Balon, Mendes could now begin the process of getting Guedes to United as well, as he seeks to move the Portuguese winger on after first getting him a permanent move from PSG to Valencia.
The 21-year-old is one of the brightest prospects in the game right now, having shone on loan in La Liga this season to also attract interest from Real Madrid, according to Don Balon.
United could certainly do with that calibre of player in their attacking midfield, with Mourinho’s side not looking at their creative best in some important games lately.
They’ve been rescued by the surprise up-turn in form by Jesse Lingard, but the club will surely look at a player like Guedes to strengthen for next season.
The Sun linked United with interest in both Antoine Griezmann and Gareth Bale earlier this season, and Guedes could be a similarly exciting addition in that area of the pitch.
